Are books better than movies?
Some people think movies are better than books but to me books are much better than movies but, I think differently. To me, books are way better than movies.
In a movie you feel as if you are facing what is happening to the character, while in a book you feel as if a narrator is narrating the story to you, the reader. This makes you feel a little less into the scene and helps you keep yourself calm.
Another very common reason is that, in a movie your eyes are glued to the screen, and it strains your eyes. Many of our parents tell us this, and we readily ignore them, but the truth is that is it can spoil your eyes and you can get glasses.
Books are also better than movies as books are more detailed than a movie while a movie doesn’t explain everything in detail otherwise it would take hours to watch everything. For instance, in the Charlie and the Chocolate factory book, there are many new words, but the movie is just animated and a bit of fun.
The last reason is in a book you can stop anytime to take a break but, in a movie, you must watch it all at once. You can also slowly understand each word and improvise. It can also increase your vocabulary while in a movie its mostly fun.
Movies are entertaining as well, but books can help you build vocabulary, your grammar etc. If we look at all the benefits books give over movies, I think everyone should read more books.
